Cars & Cigars Smoke Detroit
In 2014, the Celani Family Foundation was formed by Tom and Vicki Celani as a charity dedicated to addressing the needs of youth and fighting hunger. The Celani Family Foundation launched the Cars and Cigars Smoke Detroit event in June of 2014 and then the Hunger Free in the D radiothon in November of 2014. The two events have raised over $8,000,000 in charitable donations to support underprivileged youth and fight hunger.
The Celani Family Foundation is a non-profit organization created by community philanthropists, Tom and Vicki Celani, to help support and provide resources to local families in need. The Celani Family Foundation is dedicated to bringing community awareness to issues facing the underprivileged, especially premature babies and abused children. Through its fundraising efforts, the Celani Family Foundation strives to assist the underprivileged in Detroit and the surrounding metro area.
CARS & CIGARS SMOKE DETROIT
This annual event brings together cars, Fuente cigars, Celani Family Vineyards wines, and a live auction for a festive night of fundraising benefiting the Celani Family Foundation and the Cigar Family Foundation. The proceeds from this event directly benefit underprivileged families and children in the cigar producing areas of the Dominican Republic as well as those close to home.
HUNGER FREE IN THE D
Partnering with Paul W. Smith at WJR radio, the Celani Family Foundation hosts an annual three-week fundraising event culminating in a radiothon that raises money for Detroit charities, Gleaners Community Food Bank and Capuchin Soup Kitchen. The proceeds from this Hunger Free in the D aid in reducing hunger in Detroit.
