Hunger Free in the D is an annual fundraising event that has raised more than $2,700,000 for Gleaners Community Food Bank and Capuchin Soup Kitchen. The Celani Family Foundation and Paul W. Smith of WJR Radio host a three-week fundraising campaign each November ending with the Hunger Free in the D Radiothon on WJR.
